Very beautiful autographed letter signed by Eugène-François Vidocq, adventurer, repentant convict, detective and head of the French police, often regarded as the father of modern criminology and of the intelligence police.

"The widow of Louis Emery Pierre Delouche, a dairywoman, whose husband was a gardener, is indeed the person I had asked you to inquire about. Her husband was indebted to my client."
