Description from the seller
Matched Multi-Piece Amethyst Geode (approx. 4 kg) – Brazil 1986 (Old Mining / Completely Intact)
For sale is a fascinating, matching multi-piece set of an opened Amethyst geode. All pieces originate from the exact same geological formation and fit together perfectly like a puzzle (matched set). The total weight is approximately 4 kg.
This premium specimen features a very beautiful and harmonious crystal growth in a natural lilac-violet coloration. The crystal core is embedded in a striking, wide, and highly decorative zoning of natural agate and chalcedony.
The back of the pieces shows the original, undamaged basalt crust. It is completely natural and has not been artificially enhanced with cement or paint, as is often the case with modern mass imports.
Condition: Excellent. The crystal points are sharp, completely intact, and exhibit a beautiful, brilliant vitreous luster.
Provenance: Personally brought back from Brazil 40 years ago (1986) by the original owner. Excellent, genuine "Old Mining" quality.
