A beautiful and recognizable icon of Space Age and Pop Art lighting from the 1970s. This large table lamp is designed as a gigantic light bulb, an obvious and high-quality homage to the iconic 'Bulb' design by Ingo Maurer (Design M, 1966). This specific model with an opal-white glass shade was produced in the 1970s by quality manufacturers in Germany and Europe (such as Honsel Leuchten).
The lamp is built from a chrome-plated metal base with the characteristic screw-thread rings (5-piece construction including the flat bottom edge) and an impressive, large opal glass (milk glass) shade.
