Phoenician ceramic anas with a pouring spout.
Zoomorphic vase with a short neck and flat lip, fitted with a bridge handle, covered with an orange slip.
The vase is shaped like an elongated dog, with the head raised and the snout pierced by a hole.
Phoenician, Punic period 4th / 3rd century BCE.
Dimensions: Length 14.6 cm – Height 9.2 cm.
In very good condition – restoration.
Provenance: Netherlands, D.Z.N. gallery.
Previously: Acquired between 1970 and 1974 by a collector working for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and stationed in North Africa.
