Ancient Roman Gold Pendant or Brooch with Female Cameo – 1st–3rd Century AD
Exquisite Roman piece made of solid gold, weighing 1.4 grams, with a rectangular frame holding an oval cameo carved in layered chalcedony. The cameo depicts a noble Roman lady or deity in classical profile. The reverse includes delicately bent gold hooks, suggesting use as a pendant, earring component, or part of a larger fibula-type ornament.
