Rare 103-piece 800 silver service by Di Cristofalo of Palermo, in Sicilian Baroque design from the second half of the 20th century, weighing about 7.98 kg and stamped 800 and 77 PA, complete with service for up to 12 guests and protective anti-oxidation cloths in excellent vintage condition.

Description:
Up for auction is a monumental set of solid 800 silver cutlery, a masterpiece of the illustrious Sicilian silversmithing tradition. The set was crafted by the prestigious Di Cristofalo company of Palermo (mark 77 PA), synonymous with luxury and the highest quality craftsmanship in the second half of the 20th century.
The design is a sumptuous Sicilian Baroque ( eighteenth-century model), with terminals richly decorated in repoussé featuring volutes and shells, which give each piece extraordinary heft and a striking presence.
