A Dutch late Gothic oak chest dating from the early 17th century, 121 cm wide, 67 cm high and 57 cm deep, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and small stains.

Beautiful, stylish chest from a once stylish interior.
Probably early 17th century.
Around the edge panels in very nicely figured quarter-sawn oak.
Nice blonde color.
If the wood was soaked for a long time, it could stay lighter because the tannin largely leached out of the wood.
Short hinges (original)
The original lock plate also retains its Gothic character.
Fairly forged handles. see detail photo.
There are panels on the back as well.
And inside two document compartments.
No key included.
