Charming and elegant Art Deco-era centerpiece, combining a substantial molded smoked glass bowl with a remarkable wrought-iron frame in a floral motif.

The centerpiece is signed Pierre d'Avesn (1901-1990), a celebrated French master glassmaker and an important figure in Art Deco.

Pierre d'Avesn notably worked for about ten years with René Lalique before developing his own creations around 1930.

The central basin in smoked glass features an elegant radiating geometric pattern, particularly characteristic of Art Deco.

In good condition, with only a few signs of use and very minor nicks.
