Three-piece silver-plated oil and vinegar cruet set with glass bottles, in the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style, dating to circa 1900–1910 and made by WMF in Germany.
Description from the seller
A Jugendstil cruet set. This Oil and Vinegar set was manufactured around 1905 by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) – at the time famous for its Jugendstil productions. The frame with typical Jugendstil decorations of stylized flowers, with handle. Including the original bottles of cut glass.
In good condition. Heavily patinated by a combination of oxidation of the silver and the wearing away of the silver layer in other places. The bottles are undamaged, although the tip of one stopper is chipped.
In the last image you can see this oil-and-vinegar set depicted in the WMF sale catalog of 1906, on page 29 under mention of
"No. 444/2 Oil & Vinegar Frame".
