AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beige-colored typewriter, circa 1972 year, Olivetti Lettera 35 in excellent condition, accompanied by a case, functioning; I recommend replacing the ribbon. Serial number A267005.
Shipping will be trackable and the package personalized without any additional costs, except for hard-to-reach countries and islands; in that case it will be agreed with the buyer.
The Lettera 35 was designed in 1972 by Mario Bellini. Like the Olivetti Dora, the Olivetti Valentine, and the Olivetti Lettera DL, it mechanically follows the Lettera 32, released in 1963 and designed by Marcello Nizzoli.
Mechanical
With mechanics identical to the Lettera 32, the Olivetti Lettera 35 is a typewriter with type-writing by pressing levers. Each time a typewriter key is pressed, the corresponding hammer, through the cinematic mechanism, strikes the ink ribbon (red or black) behind which sits the sheet of paper onto which the corresponding symbol is printed. A lever located at the upper right of the keyboard can be used to control the ribbon position and select black print, red print, or no ink (for carbon copies or for preparing inked matrices for stencil-making). The ribbon winds with every keystroke and automatically reverses direction when it reaches the end of one of the two spools on which it is wound. Two mechanical sensors located near each spool shift when the ribbon tightens (indicating it is running out) and reverse its winding direction.
The machine presents a compact design to convey the image of a professional tool.
