Description from the seller

Interesting specimen of Fluorite with Calcite from Balochistan with a very irregular and three-dimensional structure, interesting to observe from both sides.

The Fluorite forms numerous cubic crystals in grey-brown tones, distributed on the matrix in groups more or less dense. In some areas the cubes are particularly well defined and show slightly satin-like surfaces and more translucent edges, which with light take on warmer tones.

On the opposite side Calcite becomes the protagonist, with widespread crystallization in honey and white tones and some more developed crystals. Among these stands out a beautiful scalenohedral crystal, decidedly larger than the others, which emerges from the matrix and gives the specimen a very distinctive look.

The contrast between the clean geometries of the Fluorite, the sharper forms of Calcite, and the different colorations makes the piece rich in details, with zones very different from one another depending on the angle from which it is observed.

Crystallization present on multiple sides also makes it interesting to display in different positions, without a single mandatory front.

Provenance: Belucistan, Pakistan
Weight: 970 g
Dimensions: 15 × 14 × 9 cm
