Frame - Wood - Marco Frances

Elegant French antique frame, carved in wood and gilded with gold leaf, executed in the Louis XV (Rococo) style. It features a wavy outline with central cartouches at the top and bottom, and corners decorated with Rocaille motifs, acanthus foliage and raised rosettes. The inner edge bears a molding with a ribbon-twist motif.

The gilded patina shows natural wear typical of aging, revealing in several areas the reddish-gray base beneath the gold, which confirms its age and gives it a rustic charm highly appreciated by decorators and collectors.
