Pipe from the Gambier house in Paris representing the famous Orientalist model "La Jacob". It bears the inscription "I am the real Jacob" on the turban. Glazed terracotta pipe from the 19th century. The long carved beard served as a handle to hold the pipe without burning the fingers. The eyes are glass. Original mouthpiece and cord.

Excellent condition with only minor signs of use. Small original firing crack at the top of the bowl.
