High, soft, and dense pile. The heavy structure of the back (dark and orangish wefts) confirms the rug's authenticity and origin.
Ends finished with the characteristic and rich multicolored braided tassels original to the period, well preserved.
Measurements approx. 310 x 90 cm. Colors: amaranth, orange, green, and ivory.
The rug shows slight and fascinating yellowish halos on some sections of the cream wool. This natural phenomenon is due to color migration of organic vegetable dyes during traditional old washings of past decades. It is not a defect, but a precious visual certificate of vintage authenticity.
