Description from the seller
Large Vintage Brass Oil Lamp Converted to Electric – Ruby Red Glass Shade – c. 1960s–1970s
A magnificent vintage brass oil/paraffin lamp, later converted for electric use, combining the romantic character of traditional lighting with the practicality of a decorative table lamp.
The substantial brass body retains its beautiful period features, including the original-style oil reservoir, filler cap, ornate pierced burner gallery and wick-control details. Above sits a particularly eye-catching ruby-red glass shade, complemented by a clear glass chimney. When illuminated, the rich red glass produces a wonderfully warm and atmospheric glow.
The conversion has preserved much of the lamp’s traditional appearance, making this an attractive decorative piece for classic, Victorian-inspired, country-house or eclectic interiors.
