The braiding appears to be made of plastic/rubber around a metal wire core, a commonly used technique in quality handcrafted boxes from the 60s and 70s. Together with the fresh green floral fabric, this gives the sewing box a timeless retro look.

The box sits on an elegant three-legged metal stand and features a sturdy carrying handle, making it both practical and decorative. Under the padded lid there is a transparent plastic divider disc with several compartments, filled with a variety of sewing notions such as thread, needles, pins, scissors, buttons, safety pins, and other handicraft accessories.

Condition
The sewing box is in a neat vintage condition with normal signs of use and aging. The braiding is beautifully preserved and the original green floral fabric has a fresh appearance. The contents are a variety of original sewing notions. On one side the cap on the attachment point of the carrying handle is missing, as visible in the photos.
