Description from the seller
Very beautiful deep skillet/sauté pan from Le Creuset France, vintage from the 1970s, made of enameled cast iron, in the famous shiny brown color of the French house.
This large pan or sauté pan is distinguished by its generous dimensions, its simple, functional shape, and its long teak wood handle, typical of the brand’s older productions. Its exterior brown enamel has remarkably preserved its handsome shine, giving the whole piece a particularly elegant and warm aesthetic.
The marking “LE CREUSET” accompanied by the number 28 is present on the top of the pan. The number 28 corresponds to the cooking diameter, i.e., a very large 28 cm pan, particularly suited to family-sized preparations.

Le Creuset, a benchmark of French culinary design
Founded in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand, in Aisne, Le Creuset has become one of the world’s major references for enameled cast iron. The brand is especially famous for its casseroles, pans, and utensils in recognizable colors and with remarkable longevity.
Productions from the 1960s and 1970s are presently highly valued for their craftsmanship, distinctive shapes, and vintage colors. These objects surpass their utilitarian function to become true pieces of French domestic design heritage.
This large brown pan is therefore a beautiful piece that is both functional, decorative, and vintage, and would fit equally well in a kitchen or in a collection devoted to Le Creuset’s antique productions.
A very beautiful vintage piece from the 1970s, in remarkable condition for its age.
