Wuliangye 1618, a 2019 bottling from the Wuliangye Distillery in Yibin, Sichuan, China, in 500 ml bottles at 52% ABV with original packaging.
Description from the seller
Launched in 2007, Wuliangye 1618 is an ultra-premium strong-aroma Chinese baijiu brewed by the Wuliangye Distillery in Yibin, Sichuan. It is an outstanding representative of strong-aroma baijiu. Wuliangye 1618 is brewed using a Ming Dynasty cellar from 1639. Its flavor has the characteristic rich, mellow, and robust taste of Wuliangye that "does not cause headaches". The production process is more refined, allowing the characteristics of the strong-aroma style to be fully expressed. Bottled at 52% ABV, it is crafted from a signature five-grain recipe (sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, wheat, and corn) fermented in ancient, centuries-old cellars.
Flavor Profile: Long-lasting aroma with rich tropical fruit, vanilla, white pepper, and savory herbal notes.
Nose: Aromatic rich and fruity tones on the front of the nose, hints of pineapple and ripe mango, apricot and white pepper, some citric aromas are rather noticeable, vanilla levels things out on the incredibly complex nose.
Palate: Some peppery notes, some sweet fruits, pink pepper corns, soft herbal notes with the rich citrus before levelling out to softer tones, some creamy notes and a lingering aftertaste.
weight: 1389g (with box)
