Elegant English Regency-period console, semicurcular or demi-lune in shape, crafted in mahogany and enriched by carefully selected figured mahogany veneers. The top features a sinuous front, dark contrasting moulding, and a delicate light-wood marquetry that traces the peripheral design, a solution repeated on the frieze and on the plinths.

The waist incorporates a central curved-front drawer, also delineated by light inlays and equipped with a circular brass pull. The most distinctive element of the piece consists of the two front supports, heavily carved, conceived as stylized swans, with heads, long necks, wings and plumage carefully modeled. This zoömorphic support type relates directly to the neoclassical repertoire and Empire influences absorbed by British Regency furniture; early 19th-century English tables often combine mahogany, marquetry, sculptural supports, and platform bases.

The supports rest on a wide lower cut-out platform, which also functions as a shelf, finishing the ensemble with small curved and wreathed feet. The back panel in mahogany structurally accompanies the two levels of the piece. The combination of warm-toned mahogany, strict symmetry, fine marquetry, and zoömorphic elements gives it a sophisticated language characteristic of Regency taste, with affinities to continental Empire furniture; there are known French and Italian 19th-century examples with swan supports and similar semicircular bases.

The piece is in good overall condition, preserving a beautiful shine and figure of the mahogany, with small marks, scratches and wear compatible with age.
