Description from the seller
Elegant and spacious 71-piece vintage cutlery service from the prestigious Italian manufacturer Sambonet, made in a silvered alloy and characterized by a refined classical-style motif inspired by Louis XV/baroque tradition.
The service features elegantly contoured handles, outlined by fine ridges and enriched at the ends with ornamental volute and shell motifs.
The various pieces bear Sambonet marks; on the knives blades the marking “Sambonet – Anticor – Italy” is also visible.
Particularly interesting is the presence of the original Sambonet box and the original sheet with the “Norme d'uso e di manutenzione – Posateria in lega argentata,” an element that further documents provenance and material of the service.
The lot includes numerous table and dessert/fruit cutlery: forks of different sizes, table and fruit knives, spoons, teaspoons and other items, as extensively shown in the photographs.
Italian production from the second half of the 20th century, roughly the 1960s–1980s.
The cutlery presents overall in good vintage condition, with normal signs of aging and use, light oxidations, halos and small superficial scratches consistent with age and material. The original box shows evident signs of wear and preservation along the edges, as visible in the photographs.
