Beautiful hand-carved round cameo on a Madagascar Cassis shell. The protagonist, recognizable by the lyre in his hands, recalls the iconographic tradition of Apollo, while the female figure listens attentively, establishing a silent dialogue made of art and feeling.

Work inspired by classical culture and the romantic taste that characterized much of Italy's glyptic production in the twentieth century. Carved and signed by master engraver “Demire,” belonging to the artistic tradition of Torre del Greco cameos, the capital of cameo craftsmanship.
