Description from the seller

Faience amulet of the goddess Nephthys

Late Period (Egypt, ca. 664–332 BC)

Height 5.8 cm (with stand 8.5 cm)

Beautiful siliceous faience amulet depicting the goddess Nephthys (Nebet-Hut, “Lady of the Mansion”), standing in a walking stance, left leg forward, arms at the sides.

She wears the characteristic headdress formed by the hieroglyphs of her name: the rectangle of the palace (ḥwt) topped by the basket (nb). Tripartite wig, tight sheath dress.

Back pillar pierced with one or more suspension holes (visible from the side and on the back).

Overall good condition of authenticity. Normal and expected wear and tarnishing of the glaze. No obvious restoration.
