Amulet in siliceous faience of the goddess Isis
Late Period (Egypt, circa 664-332 BC)
Height 5.8 cm (base 8.4 cm)
Beautiful siliceous faience amulet representing the goddess Isis, standing in the walking pose, left leg forward, arms along the body.
She wears the characteristic headpiece formed by the hieroglyph of her name: the throne (st). Tripartite wig, fitted sheath dress.
Dorsal pillar pierced by one or more suspension holes (visible from the side and the back).
Material: siliceous faience with green-blue glaze, partially worn and tarnished by time.
Generally good condition of authenticity. Wear and glaze tarnish are normal and expected. No apparent restorations.
