Grand Roman unguentarium in iridescent glass

1st-3rd century AD.

Height 17.3 cm

Elegant Roman glass vial, of the long-neck unguentarium type.

Beautiful multicolored iridescence resulting from the natural alteration of the surface in contact with the ground for nearly two millennia

These flasks were used to contain perfumed oils, unguents, or cosmetics.

Authentic piece, with a classic profile and very attractive iridescence.

Significant iridescence and normal surface soiling. No apparent restoration.
