Description from the seller

Very beautiful set of 3 Mauviel copper pots, made in Villedieu-les-Poêles in Normandy, a historic center of the French tinware tradition.

The pots bear the original markings:

« MAUVIEL – VILLEDIEU »
« MADE IN FRANCE »

Set of three pots in increasing sizes, nestable within one another.

Traditional construction of fine quality:

* body in copper
* lined with tin
* long dark handles
* fastening by solid copper rivets
* French manufacture

Approximate dimensions:

* small pot: Ø about 12 cm
* medium pot: Ø about 14 cm
* large pot: Ø about 16 cm

Height of the bodies: about 7 to 9 cm depending on the model.

The three pots show a beautiful antique patina. Evidence of use, scratches, small marks, oxidation and tinning wear visible in the photographs, consistent with their age and use.

They have intentionally not been repolished in order to preserve their appearance and patina.

Beautiful set of traditional French kitchenware, interesting both for a collector of antique utensils and for decorating a kitchen.

The detailed photographs are an integral part of the description.
