Description from the seller

Beautiful bronze Empire pendulum clock in good condition with rope-regulated pendulum suspension. The richly decorated case is crafted in gilded bronze and mounted on a white marble pedestal with very exuberant, symmetrical ormolu appliqué decoration in the shape of flowers, leaves, musical symbols and garland motifs. On top of the base you see a female figure, possibly a muse, with a lyre.
The time is displayed on a round dial with black Roman numerals and a decorative gilded central zone.
The pendulum rests on a rectangular, stepped marble base with graceful feet underneath. An imposing and decorative object, with an especially rich finish and attractive patina, very suitable as a focal point in a classical or antique interior.
Comes with pendulum and key.
Our extensive photo dossier is an additional complement to this description. Some fine-tuning may be required after transport. If you would like more photos or information, please contact us via the auctioneer.
The clock is carefully packaged and shipped by registered, insured mail.
