It is signed “C. Vessière Nancy”, for Charles Vessière, master glassmaker of the School of Nancy, who ran, with his brother Justin, a workshop founded in 1901 in Nancy where they produced pieces inspired by nature, close to the works of Emile Gallé, the Daum brothers, or the Muller brothers.
