Description from the seller
Pair of Quad II valve amplifiers dating from 1958. They are functional, serviced and completely original, in perfect condition with new valves having only about 10 hours of operation. Featuring a purpose-built power supply constructed by a specialized technician.
Type: 2 valve power amplifiers
Output power (RMS): 15 W across the entire 20 Hz – 20 kHz range
Frequency response: within 0.2 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz; within 0.5 dB from 10 Hz to 50 kHz
Distortion: (measured at 12 W output): total third harmonic and above at 700 Hz; only high-order harmonics above 700 Hz
Total harmonic distortion (THD): at 50 Hz not exceeding 0.25%
Input sensitivity: 1.4 V rms for 15 W output
Load impedance: 1.5 MΩ in parallel with 10 pF
Noise floor: 80 dB below the reference of 15 W
Output impedances: 15 Ω and 7 Ω
Effective output resistance: 1.5 Ω for 15 Ω output setting
Power supplies (input): 200–250 V AC single-phase, 40–80 Hz
Power consumption: 90 W excluding control unit and tuners, etc.
