Extremely rare multi-layered Art Nouveau glass vase with an acid-etched decoration of green and brown thistles on a milky white background, signed "Gauthier".

Less known to the general public than Gallé or Daum, Jean Gauthier, glassmaker and decorator who opened his manufactory in Paris in 1909, produced a few rare pieces with naturalistic decoration, of a quality similar to François Théodore Legras.

Very good condition, no cracks or chips to report.

Rarissime vase en verre multicouche Art Nouveau à décor gravé à l’acide de chardons vert et brun sur fond blanc laiteux, signé « Gauthier ».

Moins connu du grand public que Gallé ou Daum, Jean Gauthier, verrier décorateur ayant ouvert sa manufacture à Paris en 1909, a produit quelques rares pièces à décor naturaliste, d’une qualité similaire à celles de François Théodore Legras.

Très bon état, pas de fêle ou d’éclat à signaler.
