The Canon FT QL (1966) is a solid, all-mechanical 35mm SLR with TTL metering and Canon's Quick Loading system, which makes threading a film almost foolproof. It belongs to the FL era, just before the FD mount arrived, and accepts both FL and later FD lenses. Offered here with the Canon FL 50mm f/1.8 standard lens.

Important — please read carefully:
Please read carefully. The slow end of the shutter is sluggish — at the 1 second setting the tester measured about 1.5 seconds, roughly 0.7 stop over. The middle and higher speeds are within a usable margin for negative film, as the measured figures above show, so the camera is perfectly usable if you avoid the slowest settings or compensate for them. The included FL 50mm f/1.8 also shows balsam separation and haze, which will reduce contrast. Fresh light seals have been fitted. Please review the photos before bidding.

Note: the lens supplied is an FL, the generation before FD. It mounts and shoots normally, but metering is done at working aperture rather than wide open.

Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- 1 s — measured 1/0.6 s (approx. 0.7 stop slow)
- 1/60 — measured 1/51 s (approx. 0.2 stop slow)
- 1/1000 — measured 1/780 s (approx. 0.4 stop slow)
- Curtain travel difference: OK
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.

We ship via either FedEx or Japan Post (ePacket), whichever suits the destination and the parcel. With Japan Post your package is handed over to the local postal carrier in your country for final delivery.
