AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Very fine, richly decorated antique figurative fire-gilded bronze Empire pendulum clock.

This beautiful timepiece depicts an allegorical scene surrounding gardening.

The clock features on the left side a female figure in classical attire, standing beside a cherub rising from a rose.

On the right side there are various garden attributes that further reinforce the symbolism of the scene.

The whole dates from around 1820, and the pendulum has a nice 'medium size' format, just a notch below the large pendulums and therefore easier to place.

This timepiece has been recently refurbished and is in excellent condition. It runs, of course, and comes with a pendulum, bell, key, and our guarantee of proper functioning.

Dimensions: 35 x 27 x 10 cm deep.
