Art Nouveau silver desk clock (bureau clock) of French origin, dating from ca. 1850–1900, in .925 silver with a mechanical movement and a 1-day power reserve, non‑striking, with outer case bearing lion passant and Birmingham maker marks, dimensions 11.5 × 10 × 3.2 cm and 375 g, containing a removable pocket watch with white enamel dial, Roman numerals, blued steel hands and a seconds hand, interior lined in green velvet and ready to stand with the rear folding stand; the winding key is not included and the item is in good used condition.

Silver case with a removable pocket watch. The exterior features a richly chased silver cover in Art Nouveau style with floral decorations. The interior is finished in green velvet and provides space for the watch, which is visible behind a circular opening when the case is closed. The watch has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands and a seconds hand. The front of the case bears British silver hallmarks including the Lion passant (sterling silver, 925), an anchor (Birmingham Assay Office), and the maker's mark. The pocket watch is in good running order. The interior bears the inscription "Argentan", Swiss, 273536. Ø watch 65 mm. Overall length with crown 92 mm. This beautiful object can be easily set down as a desk clock on your desk thanks to the fold-out stand at the back of the case.
