Description from the seller
Pair of antique rustic solid wood chairs, in the style of Louis XIII / 17th‑century furniture.
These two chairs feature a traditional construction that is particularly robust, with solid wood seat panels, straight backrests with openwork, each adorned with three small turned balusters, as well as a base with turned feet connected by stretchers also finely worked. The whole is distinguished by a very beautiful old brown patina and by the natural traces of time and use, which give it a lot of character and authenticity. The two chairs are particularly heavy, weighing about 10 kg each, a testament to the density and solidity of their construction.
They are preserved in their original condition, with wear, marks, scratches and irregularities visible that correspond to their age and use. Their architecture and turned elements evoke French rustic furniture from the 17th- to 18th-century periods.
