GERHARD RICHTER
(World-famous and the most expensive living painter, photographer and sculptor from Germany)
RARE ORIGINAL PRINT WITH REVERSE CERTIFICATION
The former Victoria Insurance (now ERGO Group) commissioned Gerhard Richter in 1986 to create two gigantic abstract artworks that were intended to hang in the foyer of the corporate headquarters in Düsseldorf!
In addition, the artist, with the help of the Achenbach Edition, was commissioned to produce and supervise high-quality offset lithographs for each of the works!
These pieces were to be handed to longtime loyal employees on their service anniversaries as a small "thank you", namely the motif "Victoria I" for 25 years of service, "Victoria II" for 30 years!
The objects signed and dated by Gerhard Richter in the print were produced in a limited edition; however, the numbers vary; different editions are listed, ranging from 2 x 500 to 1 x 2000!
In addition, later duplicates of these objects were created without the artist's consent, but they are smaller and not as high quality!
Here you will receive one of the originals from 2003 with the accompanying certificate, which was affixed to the back of the framing by the insurer, with the motif title
