Description from the seller
Artemide Elisse lamp, designed by Vico Magistretti (1920-2006) in 1966, in orange.
It won the Compasso d'Oro in 1967 and became the world-facing representative of design.
Eclisse is a cutting-edge balance between form and function, design and utility.
The basis of the concept lies in its ability to regulate light intensity through the rotating inner shade that "eclipses" the light source.
Indeed, with a fixed outer spherical housing and a movable inner hemispherical housing, the lamp can provide direct or diffused light.
Born as a table lamp, it can also be wall-mounted.
Eclisse is part of the permanent collection of MoMA in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
