Description:
A substantial and highly aesthetic ancient South Italian terracotta vessel, presenting the classic and highly sought-after Daunian funnel-neck krater form. The vessel rests on a flat base, rising to a globular body adorned with small, applied twin loop handles on the shoulder. The structure culminates in an exceptionally wide, flaring funnel-shaped mouth.
The surface is decorated in the traditional Daunian subgeometric style, featuring broad, sweeping parallel bands and geometric intersections painted in deep reddish-brown pigment over a pale slip. The proportions of this specific piece are remarkably balanced, making it a significant display object.

Excellent, intact condition. Museum-quality preservation with no visible structural cracks, no modern restorations, and no repainting.
