Description from the seller

Antique wall clock "Cartel" in genuine heavy bronze – Rococo Louis XV style (Late 19th / Early 20th century) – FULLY FUNCTIONAL
Splendid and refined antique wall clock in Rococo style (Louis XV), model "Cartel", dating from the late 19th / early 20th century (roughly 1880-1910). A furnishing piece with tremendous visual impact, elegance and solidity.
MAIN FEATURES:
Authentic Material: Case in genuine heavy bronze cast in earth/sand, characterized by a beautiful original dark patina from the period in the recesses and lively yellow-gold metal (no zamak, no regula, no modern cheap alloys). Entirely non-magnetic.
Cult Style: Stunning artistic workmanship rich in foliate scrolls and floral motifs typical of Louis XV.
Original Period Mechanism: Mechanical "time-only" movement hand-wound with a precious top escapement on a balance wheel (derived from officer travel clocks). It also runs even if not perfectly plumb on the wall.
