Flow and Fusion by Ken Kitano is a first edition, limited to 400 numbered and signed copies (No. 172) in a large 33 × 36 cm hardcover format, 108 pages, published in 2009 by Hisako Motoo (Eyesencia) in Japanese, with a grey cloth binding and an original slipcase, and includes a silver ink signature on the title page.
Description from the seller
Signed twice in a large square format (33 x 36 cm)
Through this project, Ken Kitano captures the energy and transformations of Tokyo.
At just 19 years old at the start of the project in 1989, Kitano describes the chaotic atmosphere of the era in Japan, marked by the Kobe earthquake and the 1995 Tokyo subway sarin gas attack.
The photographer also mounted his camera on a tripod amid the Tokyo crowds: The use of long exposures blurs the movement of passersby.
Human flows become spectral, ghostly trails, merging bodies with the urban architecture.
25 plates.
Limited edition of 400 numbered and signed copies.
No. 172.
It is also signed in silver ink on the title page.
Hardbound in gray cloth with a black cloth slipcase in its original carton.
No shipments to the United States due to new legislation.
