Important polychrome terracotta sculpture depicting a young woman in traditional dress, in the act of carrying two large amphorae.
The work shows a high level of plastic quality, with particular attention to anatomical details, drapery, and the expressiveness of the face. The composition is characterized by a strong sense of movement, typical of the decorative production of late nineteenth-century Vienna.
On the base there are:
the Friedrich Goldscheider mark impressed;
inscription "Reproduction Réservée";
numeration 1235 / 22 / 34 impressed into the paste.
The sculpture measures about 75 cm in height and weighs about 12 kg, and is made of polychrome terracotta with a bronzed patina finish.
General conditions are good considering its age, with normal signs of wear and use. It is advisable to carefully observe all photographs, which are an integral part of the description.
Object of notable decorative impact and of interest for collectors of Art Nouveau, Jugendstil sculpture and Goldscheider production.
