A beautiful short sword known as Luristan, mounted in a display frame with an accompanying legend for maximum presentation; it was a short and deadly weapon. These swords were used against sieges of the army of Alexander the Great. This impressive weapon is part of the best-known story in the world (the campaign against the Coseos) defended by Hephaestion. Dated to 600 BC and part of a private collection in the United Kingdom since 1960. A provenance sheet is provided, since a document like this for such pieces is synonymous with warranty and authenticity. Customs duties outside the European Union will be paid by the winning bidder.
