A tasteful and cohesive set of two ceramic table lamps offered in an elegant classical style. The combination of light ceramic bases, gold/brass-colored accents, and richly decorated Bordeaux-red lamp shades gives this set a warm and particularly decorative appearance.
The lamp bases are made of ceramic and feature a graceful, elongated vase-like shape. The surface is finished in a soft cream to ivory color with a subtly mottled texture, giving the bases a lively and artisanal character rather than a perfectly uniform look. Decorative gold/brass bands adorn the neck and underside. The broad round base provides a classic and balanced overall form.
A striking element of these lamps are the Bordeaux-red fabric lamp shades. The deep wine color contrasts beautifully with the light ceramic bases. The shades are adorned all around with graceful, handcrafted-looking decorations in the form of large scrolls and stylized roses. Decorative ribbons in gold, brass, and transparent tones are used for this. Dark piping along the top and bottom edges provides a neat framing.
When the lamps are switched on, the light shines both downward and subtly through the fabric shades. This makes the Bordeaux color warmer and more intense, creating a soft, warm, atmospheric glow around the lamps. The set is thus not only decorative when switched off, but also forms attractive ambient lighting in the evening.
Because the two lamps are nearly identical in design, they look particularly harmonious when placed symmetrically. The fabric lamp shades likewise show signs of aging and wear. The decorative ribbons and piping are not everywhere perfectly taut, and there are local minor irregularities visible. This is shown as clearly as possible in the photos and corresponds to the current state of the set.
