mantel clock - Art Deco Marble, Bronze - 1930-1940

A remarkable Art Deco mantel clock ensemble, crafted in a combination of veined marble, tvrdstone and patinated bronze. The central timepiece is framed by a round marble disk in warm shades of pink, red, cream and purple, characteristic of the decorative stone compositions from the interwar period.

The clock is flanked by two finely modelled bronze bird figures, each placed on a contrasting light marble plinth. The sculptures show stylized birds in typical Art Deco form language: dynamic, elegant and with attention to line work.

Operation: tested for 2 days. Functioned well. It is not a new clock; don’t expect that!
