AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Charming hand-painted Gzhel ceramic lidded vessel, handmade in Russia and distinguished by its imaginative sculptural form and richly coloured folk decoration.
The rectangular body is raised on four curved feet and fitted with two twisted side handles. Its architectural lid is crowned with an elegant shaped finial, giving the piece the appearance of a miniature traditional Russian chest or stove.
The surface is entirely decorated by hand in a lively palette of turquoise blue, green, yellow, orange, violet and brown. The central panel depicts a whimsical bird surrounded by flowering branches, while the sides are adorned with stylised floral motifs and a delicate lattice pattern. The small irregularities in the painting reflect the authentic handmade nature of the piece and make it truly unique.
The vessel bears the original “Hand Made Gzhel in Russia” mark on the underside, together with handwritten Cyrillic artist signatures, including A. Petrov and R. Stupina.
Presented in good vintage condition, with light traces of age and use consistent with its handmade character, one missing (see photo).
All items are carefully packed and promptly shipped to ensure safe delivery.
