Characterful 19th-century Kabyle Bouhssadi from Algeria equipped with a long, handmade steel blade with geometrical and linear decorations engraved on both sides.
The distinctive grip is finished with bone or light horn, red-copper nails, concentric circle decorations and finely wrapped with metal and brass wire.
Complete with the accompanying, rare old leather sheath, featuring incised geometric Kabyle motifs and wire bindings. Because these sheathes are fragile they are missing in most examples.
