Two very rare plates with on the flat a decoration of an orange tree, with yellow apples on either side of the pot. Under the tree on both sides 'Here beneath I rest freely'. The edge of the plate is decorated with a continuous motif of orange apples.

Twee zeer zeldzame borden met op het plat een decoratie van een oranjeboom met in de pot aan weerszijden van de boom gele appeltjes . Onder de boom aan weerszijden 'Hier onder Rust ik vrijlig’. De rand van het bord is gedecoreerd met een doorlopend motief van oranjeappeltjes.

Two very rare Dutch earthenware plates dating to circa 1700–1750, each 23 cm wide, 23 cm deep and 3 cm high, decorated with an orange tree and small apples on either side and the inscription below the tree, with a border featuring a continuous orange motif and in good condition with minor signs of ageing.
