Caleppio - Ajmone Giuseppe - Paperweight - La Spirale - .800 silver

It is a circular paperweight with a diameter of 6 cm, made for the company Caleppio. The object's peculiarity lies in the collaboration with the artist Giuseppe Ajmone (1923–2005), an Italian painter and printmaker, exponent of existential realism and very active in the Milan art scene.
• Materials: As indicated by the certificate and the stamps, it is made of 800 silver (the top part with the relief) and brass (the base and supporting structure). The total weight of the paperweight is 400 g. The silver part is only superficial but I do not know how many grams it may be.
• Subject: The relief in silver presents an informal/abstract style typical of Ajmone's maturity, with moving and organic surfaces that play with the reflections of light.
• Marks: On the back is the logo "Caleppio", a company known in the 1960s and 1970s for the production of design objects and corporate gifts. On the front, at the bottom, one can see the silver hallmark (800)
