Italian Art Nouveau table lamp – early 1900s – painted glass and brass

Fascinating and rare small Italian table lamp from the early decades of the 20th century, crafted in the elegant Art Nouveau / Liberty style, expression of the refined decorative design of the era.
The lamp features an original shaped diffuser in glass, with a sinuous and asymmetric line, embellished by delicate painted decorations in golden tones and by floral and vegetal motifs typical of the Liberty language. The soft lines of the glass and the elegance of the decorations create, when the lamp is lit, a warm and evocative light that further enhances its charm.
The diffuser is fixed by two ornamental brass rosette elements, perfectly integrated into the overall design, while the circular base, also in brass, preserves a pleasant patina naturally developed over more than a century.
Particularly interesting is the presence of the original wiring from the period, still functioning, an element that helps preserve the authenticity and historical character of the object. Given the age of the electrical installation, a check by a qualified technician before continued use is nevertheless recommended.
