Description
High-quality German Precision Weather Station by Barigo
An impressive, large vintage "banjo-model" weather station, manufactured by the renowned German instrument maker Barigo. With a generous height of 71 cm, this classic wall-mounted model combines craftsmanship with the aesthetics of a visible mechanism.
Features & Instruments:
Open-worked Skeleton Barometer (Center): Beautifully visible internals with brass bellows and refined gearing. Double scale in hPa/mbar (940–1060) and cm/mm Hg (70–79) with Dutch weather indicators (Storm, Regen, Veranderlijk, Mooi, Droog).
Thermometer (Top): Mounted on a brushed brass dial plate with Celsius divisions (-10°C to +50°C).
Hygrometer (Bottom): For precise reading of relative humidity (Dry, Normal, Humid).
Housing: Warm reddish-brown finished wood with cast/brushed brass edges and a decorative gold-colored adjusting nut at the top.
Condition:
In very neat vintage condition with only minimal signs of age consistent with use. The woodwork retains a deep gloss, the brass is clean and undamaged, and the glass coverings are clear. All instruments function properly.
