Commemorative coin minted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, a fundamental event in the process of independence and formation of the Turkish Republic under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The obverse features the portrait of Atatürk with a kalpak, rendered in a realistic style and surrounded by the national motto. The reverse shows a representation of the historic building of the Grand National Assembly, accompanied by the motto “Hakimiyet Milletindir” (“Sovereignty belongs to the nation”), the face value of 25 Lira and the commemorative dates. The specimen exhibits an outstanding preservation in line with its grade MS66, with sharp reliefs, very intense original satin lustre and clean fields that retain an attractive silvery appearance, highlighting especially the minting quality and the excellent overall condition of the piece.
