A beautifully handmade finely-meshed antique filigree handled basket with beveled edges and a graceful twisted handle in an extremely refined Oriental filigree technique.
The basket stands on small feet and is in good, used antique condition.
This type of finely-meshed silverwork was frequently produced in the early 20th century by master silversmiths in Central Asia.
Material:
Solid silver. There are no visible external hallmarks or stamps, but the object has been positively tested and assessed as genuine solid silver by two different independent jewelers.
